Right Time Music presents samples from this outstanding CD featuring Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma (santoor) and Ustad Zakir Hussain (tabla). We say 'outstanding' for a number of the CDs on this site, maybe half a dozen. There is another by Shiv Kumar Sharma from Music Today.
The santoor is an instrument well suited to relax the stomach area or abdominal cavity, while the tabla stimulates and strengthens the heart. Take our word for it, as for the moment there are no clinical studies! In terms of yoga and the subtle body or chakra system, the santoor is particularly theraputic for the Navel or Nabhi Chakra and the tabla will help the Heart or Anahatha Chakra.
